Stop All The Madness

can we bring back the truth?

Rich Coffey ยท Stop All The Madness
"In a time of universal deceit - telling the truth is a revolutionary act."
- George Orwell
"The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak it."
- George Orwell

Stop All The Madness

Lies, greed and fighting
Surrounded by hate
We must stop all this madness before it's too late
Guns and violent shootings on the news every day
When will we learn?
What's the price we must pay?

Death on our doorstep
Our kids killed in school
Madmen in power
Who take us for fools
Laws are broken honest folks are shown the door
No one in charge
Seems to care anymore...

Can we stop all this madness?
Can we bring back the truth?
Over and over, this tear never mends
Time's running out
This hatred must end!

A nice sounding pseudo-kalimba patch on the D-50 called "Vibrimba" inspired this tune. It took a darker turn when the lyrics came to me in a flash... So many things politically these days are so so wrong I just had to write about it. It's just pure madness that's now driving this country) and consequently the rest of the world) into the sewer.

Instrumentation:

  • Kalimbas: Roland D-50, Casio PX-S3000
  • Pandeiro: Casio PX-S3000
  • Acoustic Bass: Casio PX-S3000
  • Strings: Roland JV-880

...and the Bass Native America flute (Dm)

Note: The torn USA graphic was "condensed" from a political cartoon found here.
