classical string ensemble with trombone soloist (a bit of jazz snuck in as well)

About the Music

Strings and Trombone: Rich Coffey

Description: This was one of my first songs. It was written during my college years as a music theory/history project. Originally a piano/vocal tune, lyrics were adapted from a Walt Whitman poem on nature. It was my equivalent of a Schubert “Lied.” I thought it would be nice to create a string ensemble / trombone solo version. The improv section was added for this version as well.
